Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Caravan and Motorhome Workshop Operative to join our busy service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of caravans and motorhomes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within a specialised industry, working in a dynamic workshop environment. The position involves hands-on work and the ability to handle various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of caravans and motorhomes according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Using hand tools and power tools to carry out tasks such as fitting, fixing, and assembly work
- Conducting inspections to identify faults or areas requiring attention
- Heavy lifting of components or equipment safely as part of the repair process
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Supporting senior technicians with routine tasks.
Requirements
- Knowledge or experience in a similar workshop environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength and stamina
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills within the caravan and motorhome industry
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety regulations in the workplace*
Pay: £24,420.00-£28,080.00 per year
